Aluminium Stewardship Initiative

Our commitment to responsible production is further recognised through the ASI Performance Standard certifications obtained by our smelting facilities in Sarawak, PMBTU and PMS, as well as our extrusion facility in China, PMI.

Our smelting operations at PMBTU and PMS have obtained ASI Chain of Custody Standard V2 certifications, reinforcing our commitment to responsible supply chain traceability alongside existing quality achievements.

MSCI ESG Ratings

Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad has achieved an upgrade in the Transition Pathway Initiative Management Quality assessment, improving from Level 4 to Level 5.

VOLUNTARY COMMITMENT

Since 2021, Press Metal has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. In addition, Press Metal has signed as a TCFD supporter in 2023 as we believe the TCFD recommendations provide a useful framework to increase transparency on climate-related risks and opportunities within financial markets. These recommendations have been embedded within the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework.
